OK, North Carolinians… I want to make a new blend, one that locals will realize is completely unique to the region. I want to start with a name… and I need suggestions! Once we come up with a name, the flavor profile will suggest itself and I’ll craft the blend. Whoever comes up with the winning name, i.e., the one I like the most, wins a free two-pound package of the new blend.

How about Racing Blend, to get you racing in the morning.
Hmmm, has potential. Presumably it would need to have the #88 somewhere on the bag. Maybe we could do a #24, too… it would be decaf.
Like your humor. Are you sure you would want a #24 even if it is decaf?
what about ‘the bluegrass babe blend’? maybe that’s too much alliteration….
Is it too obvious to propose the “blue ridge blend”?
Hi, I’m grew up in South Carolina. (hey, no boos! I’m trying to be friendly. I am pleased your web site says you are in North Carolina rather than Carolina.) Back to the topic. Mixing a bit of the Smokies, one of my favorite places with the Piedmont you could get a Smokey Piedmont blend. Or to follow on the racier theme and adding the coast, a “Smoking Coast blend” with a hint of salt and sand in it.
Happy roasting y’all.
Hi, Jim,
Congrats on the business and the website!
Here are a few suggestions for coffee names (forgive the cheesy factor):
-Pine Tree Tar (not so appealing due to imagery but the pine tree is NC’s state tree)
-Moonshine (referring to James Taylor’s Carolina on My Mind)
-Carolina Rain (referring to Shooter Jennings’ Gone to Carolina)
-Southern Comfort
Good luck,
Lea
