And as I type this, I realize that was a Brittany Spears song.  But I’m not referring to reckless and stupid behavior – no, I’m talking about coffee buying.  Just put in an order for some more green.

The vital statistics: 75% of the order is organic, 33% Fair Trade.  100% excellent.  I have a few exotics in this load that lowered the percentages of organics and fair trade CERTIFIED from last time.  They are all fair trades, I can assure you, just that some are not certified.

Some of the old favorites are returning.  And we have a lot of nice new stuff coming, too.  An organic, Fair Trade Sumatra decaffeinated.  A natural Sidamo.  Organic Chiapas…. stay tuned for more.

So much coffee, so little time… here’s another one on the web site, a dry-process Sidamo that was water process decaffeinated.  Confused?  Don’t be – dry processing refers to the method of removing the seed (bean) from the fruit after harvest.  Dry processing generally results in a more rustic, earthy cup, in addition to whatever unique character the bean itself possesses.  Once the dry processed bean is in hand, they soak in it water to remove the caffeine.  Got it?

This Sidamo is a bright, fruited, highly aromatic cup.  Buy it HERE.
