Yesterday I succumbed to the temptation and sprung for a Google ad – you know, those little two-line ads to the right of your search results. The process was quite easy. Pick the words you want people to find you with, e.g., coffee, decide on the geography you want your ads presented, set a budget, and you’re off to the races.
In just twelve hours or so, I have a few observations. First, they sure do show ads to a lot of people. Second, not many people click them. Which is good because it’s expensive when they do (a buck, give or take).
If anyone is willing to share their experience (or tips) about using adWords, I would really like to hear about it.
