I feel like a kid at 5 AM on Christmas morning! Just unloaded my first sacks of relationship Yirgacheffe. I’ll share the fuller story later… the short version is that our friend Dante Vilone in Ethiopia and Craig Meredith in Washington (state) have collaborated to bring this beautiful washed yirg to US customers. Their project is a labor of love, and directly benefits 1500 farmers in Yirgacheffe. But the best part is the coffee is, mind-blowingly, rock-your-world great. This is the kind of coffee that turns cream and sugar people into black coffee drinkers.
I’m thinking about what to call this coffee. Ethiopia Yirgacheffe just isn’t enough.
