Maria, over at Sweet Marias, was gracious enough to agree to sell me some of the India Kattehollay Estate Peaberry they have in stock. Yes, all these years later I still buy some coffee from Sweet Marias – stuff that is unusual, and adds some dimension to my inventory. Tom is one of the hardest working people in specialty coffee, and it’s always a thrill to see what he’s stocking. I especially like it when I coincidentally pick the same coffees that he picks, as was the case with the Brazil Moreninha Formosa Raisin we bought earlier this season.
Anyway, this one sounds like a neat coffee, and I have an all-India espresso in mind for it.
I mention it because I suspect this one may never make it onto the website. If this coffee sounds like one for you, ask me about it in a couple weeks.
How would you compare the El Salvador San Emilio Pulped Natural and the India Kattehollay Estate Peaberry roasted for espresso to the Sweet Jane espresso beans?
And what kind of bulk discount would I get for a 5lb plastic bag ;-P
I’ll let you know when I taste it… this is one I haven’t cupped myself, because I trust Tom. If it turns out much different than I expected, I’ll just sell it straight.
And I’ll ake you a deal on a 5 pounder if you bring four friends in on it 😉
