I just finished the accounting for Q2 2010 – on time, for a change! We knew it was a strong quarter just because we were able to pay our bills, ha ha. But we were pleasantly surprised to learn that May was a record month for our little company, and in a soft economy, no less. So THANK YOU for all of your patronage.
We also had a couple other learnings this quarter:
1. June 2010 was a little softer that June 2009. Not a big enough difference to worry about, but statistically significant. Near as we can tell, it’s probably because I was gone for pretty much the entire month. So the good news is my sales ability is once again appreciated! Or, it could be because June was hot as blazes. Who knows?
2. Thanks to our NC State MBA intern project last quarter (thanks Kaete and team!), we’ve been collecting some additional sales data on internet sales, and using it for some informative analysis. We had some learnings about the differences between in-state and out-of-state sales that will help us formulate some new shipping policies when we roll out a new web site, hopefully in the fall.
Anyway, thanks again for you dedicated patronage. Please let us know how we’re doing, good or bad.
