Last year, the blend was quite a hit – the third best selling product of the year for us (Old North State Blend is first by a country mile, followed by Christmas Blend). Well, tonight I tasted this year’s Halloween Blend, and I can tell you it’s better than ever. The key component is an unusual natural that I didn’t bother to sell as an origin coffee this season, since I only had a limited amount. But what an anchor it made to round out some washed East African beans. The resulting blend is everything I was shooting for, plus it’s nuanced and has some exotic fruits in the aftertaste.
Get it while the getting is good. I have to guess how much we’re going to sell, and last year I guessed too low – I could have sold much more than I had on hand. This year I increased the batch size quite a lot, but when it’s gone, it’s gone, and I’m shooting for that to be right around Halloween.
